What is a Reiki session like?

The therapist lightly places her hands on or near the client to transfer the subtle vibrations. Like a dry sponge pulling in water, the client draws in the Reiki energy.

The therapist does not touch sensitive areas and no pressure is applied. As the Reiki energy is transferred, the client may feel warmth or tingling, and often a sense of peace and calm. For most it is a very relaxing experience.

Reiki can be given to someone sitting in a chair, but most prefer to relax on the massage table. The client chooses whether to chat or just drift off. Either way, Reiki does its work.Image of Reiki session]

Just the thing for over worked arms. The Reiki energy runs between the therapist's hands from shoulder to wrist.

Reiki can be given through any barrier--a blanket, a plaster cast, or even lead. Image of Reiki session]

Reiki can benefit any health issue whether it be mental, emotional, or physical. It is good for all ages and will complement other forms of therapy. Reiki has enormous potential for improving the quality of life. Consider recharging and restoring with Reiki.

Like many other therapies, the benefits of Reiki are cumulative. Try one session to see if you like it. If this is a type of therapy that appeals to you, then consider making Reiki part of your personal wellness program.
